Medical assistants have a foundation in both clinical and administrative tasks, providing a wide range of opportunities and work environments to choose from following graduation.
The Academy for Healthcare Innovation (AHI) Medical Assistant Program provides the comprehensive training needed to work in both clinical and administrative healthcare environments, such as clinics, hospitals and private practices.
In 32 weeks, you’ll learn how to:
- Take patient histories
- Measure vital signs
- Assist with medical procedures
- Administer medications under the guidance of a physician
- Manage medical records
- Schedule appointments
- Handle insurance claims
- Maintain office correspondence
As a certified medical assistant, you can find employment at:
- Physician offices
- Hospitals
- Outpatient clinics
- Other healthcare facilities
