Medical assistants have a foundation in both clinical and administrative tasks, providing a wide range of opportunities and work environments to choose from following graduation.
The Academy for Healthcare Innovation (AHI) Medical Assistant Program provides the comprehensive training needed to work in both clinical and administrative healthcare environments, such as clinics, hospitals and private practices.
In 32 weeks, you’ll learn how to:
- Take patient histories
- Measure vital signs
- Assist with medical procedures
- Administer medications under the guidance of a physician
- Manage medical records
- Schedule appointments
- Handle insurance claims
- Maintain office correspondence
As a certified medical assistant, you can find employment at:
- Physician offices
- Hospitals
- Outpatient clinics
- Other healthcare facilities

AHI is committed to helping applications get the tuition assistance they need. Once we receive your application, we can connect you with various funding support options.
Employer Sponsorship
AHI has relationships with local healthcare employers that need medical assistants. These employers will often offer various tuition assistance options if you commit to work for them.
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Funding
You may be eligible for up to $10,000 in tuition assistance and other benefits through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
There are income limits and eligibility requirements, including:
- Students must be accepted into the program prior to completing their application for tuition assistance.
- The application process takes approximately 8 weeks.
Tuition and Fees for the AHI Medical Assistant Program
Program tuition is calculated at a rate of $275 per credit, with students paying based on their enrolled credits each term along with any associated fees. We work with all our applications to ensure they get the scholarships and grants they qualify for to cover most of the tuition fees.
